Summary:
Chompin' At The Bit is a 4H group located in Mount Pleasant, NCThe address is 3075 Lambert Rd Mt.Pleasant NC . We meet once a month at Sweet Acres Farm.
We do fun activites at each meeting to learn more about horses. In addition, we participate in community service activities and host fundraisers each month.
Last year, we used the money we raised to go to a Parelli Clinic in Clemson, SC. Check out our picture page to see memories from that great trip.

I introduced a new portion of our website called the Spotlights. Here members of our 4H group can show off their stuff!

Helping the Horses:
Laurel driving some of us to the Horse Protection Society
We learned a lot about how to treat different illnesses and saw all of the wonderful work these people are doing for horses coming from rough conditions. Here are some examples of the hardships that these horses have had to go through:
 
Lft. Bad feet from neglect, Rt. stiffness in the legs, making it hard and painful to walk
This horse only had one eye
Despite their hardships, many of the horses have made full recoveries and and are now living out their lives in luxury or are looking for good homes.

It was a great learning experience, and we look forward to helping them more in the future. A large thanks to Joan Benson who taught us so much!
